3rd Post: Fashion Trend from NY Street

I'm getting used to the fashion on the STREETS OF NEW YORK.
Being a southern girl, it was definitely a culture shock coming to NY and seeing so much diversity. I'll  never be done exploring the concrete jungle because I see something new every day.

Of course there are trends, but it seems like when you're in New York, your in the safe zone. You can't go wrong! There are so many shapes and sizes. So many patterns and asymmetrical linings. The clothes could be 70's inspired (because it's coming back), biker leather jackets (I love those), oversized sweaters, LACE W/ DENIM, and more!

                                               

 

I did, however, notice that there is a trend with oversized sweaters and shorts...take a look!

2nd Post: 1 Key Item for Fall 2013

Does anyone remember that boxed blazer that women would occasionally throw on to add a layer to the outfit? A little something extra?

The 80's & 90's trend of "Girl Meets Boy" kind of look.

You probably may identify it when you think of the style

that was portrayed in the t.v. show "Boy Meets World".

This is exactly what I believe has inspired the new

trend for the Fall of 2013. The girl in the slouched

denim or trousers and an oversized sweater. The key item

for Fall 2013 is the BOYFRIEND BLAZER

A nice feminine blazer with

that has a men's silhouette

among the shoulders and falls

loosely straight.

 

 

 

I look forward to the modernized blazer that is not so structured or fitted, but has an oversized silhouette and squared shoulders with a defining collar/ neckline.
